Wild Card Weekend Recap

What a weekend of football. Mahomes and Parsons highlight a handful of injuries that took place. The Chiefs were eliminated from playoff contention at the hands of the Chargers. Josh Allen pulled off another comeback to let the Patriots know that it may not be their turn just yet. Rivers played his first game in over 1,800 days and almost took down a top defense in the NFL. Just wild stuff all over the place.
As for fantasy, we had two great matchups. It was great to see all the teams perform up to a playoff level, all scoring above their original projections.
Spencer and Ryan were trading heavyweight shots with TreVeyeon Henderson and Puka Nakua back and forth. Yet, it was Trey McBride who was the difference maker - scoring 37.40 points to give Ryan the win and a date with Commish next weekend.
Probst versus Worzie came down to the wire in what could have been an all-time bad beat for Worzie. Going into SNF, Worzie only had Javonte Williams left, needing just over 10 points to win. It looked over early as Javonte ran one in from the one-yard line, putting him in striking distance with nearly the whole game left. But that would be the last time we saw Javonte take a snap in the first half. He apparently injured his shoulder or neck and was held out until after halftime, in which he finally saw the field again. It took two touches for Javonte to get what Worzie needed to end Probst's season, now facing the last remaining North team in Cheeno.
WILDCARD WEEKEND PREVIEW
Ryan vs Commish
The Commish finds himself back in a position where he once was in 2019, a semi-final match against Ryan, coming off a bye. This is the long-awaited revenge game that I have been waiting six years for. Back then, Ryan had a familiar piece that helped rip a championship bid away from me. That piece was Christian McCaffrey. He went off for 37.50 points to help Ryan score 177 to overcome the 161 I had put up. Now, in 2025, I hold that singular piece that will help deliver a final blow to a storybook season in which Ryan overcame a 1-9 start to make it into the playoffs. It will be poetic justice. For Commish to take a trip to his first Championship game, he just needs to do what his team has been doing all year. For Ryan, he will need Bo to continue his hot streak and Jameson Williams to keep playing like a top number-2 WR in the league. With Josh Jacobs questionable for this weekend's game, he is left with few difference makers to replace a big-time player.

Worzie vs Cheeno
The last time these two met in the playoffs was the 2023 wildcard weekend, where Worzie dominated Cheeno, scoring 188.23 to 121.16, respectively. Cheeno will look to avenge his loss and put himself back into the Championship game for the first time since he won it in 2019. Cheeno's team has thrived off Achane ETN and a weak North Division. The concern of Achane's fall off without Tua and CeeDee being questionable for this weekend's game may put him in a tricky situation. He will need the rest of his team to step up. For Worzie, losing Patrick Mahomes last week was bad timing, as it will certainly hurt the value of Rashee Rice, should he even play after getting rocked twice last weekend. He will need a vintage Sun God game and Omarion Hampton to take a majority of the carries if he wants to find a way to win.
Me & Mahomies' Team | Pos Rank | Aiyuken's Team | Pos Rank |

Good luck to everyone this week, except you Ryan. Been looking forward to this matchup. Bolt Up, bitches.
